Postgresql database backup in Docker container

To view the containers that are running:

Docker PS

Go to target container:

Docker exec-u root-it container name/bin/bash

In Docker, create a backup directory as root, directly execute the following command,

5432 -u odoo xxx (database name) >/database dump backup file directory/export_xxx (database name) _bak_2018xxx.dmp

Wait a moment, wait patiently, export the dump file in the backup directory is complete.

Depending on the size of the data file, the backup time will be different, the general dump file compression ratio of about 50%, that is, the original database file 500M, the backup dump file should be around 250M.
