Power-saving for mobile phones? Just add InkCase Plus.
InkCase Plus looks like a mobile phone case with a display screen. Forgive me for saying this is a bit Low), and the extra E Ink screen is the focus of InkCase Plus. InkCase Plus has a built-in 500 mAh lithium battery. With its E Ink screen, the mobile phone can support 19 hours of reading E-books, and the battery life can reach 7 days in standby mode.
In addition, it is worth mentioning that even if the phone is in standby status, the InkCase Plus display can continue to work. Similar to Kindle, you can set your favorite images or cell phone photos to be displayed on the E Ink screen.
In addition to the display function, InkCase Plus also extends the corresponding applications so that you can view information, answer the phone, play music, and use navigation and motion tracking functions on the E Ink screen, all operations are faster and more cost-effective than on the original screen. In connection with mobile phones, the low-power bluetooth technology used by InkCase Plus can save a lot of power.
In fact, E Ink screens for mobile phones are not the first of the InkCase team. Gajah launched the E Ink screen display case for Galaxy Note II and iPhone 5 a year ago, and then a Russian company launched the YotaPhone with front and back E Ink screens.
In this regard, G-Jay Yong, one of the project owners of InkCase Plus, believes that InkCase is more flexible and users can easily switch back and forth between the color screen and the E Ink screen. At the same time, G-Jay Yong also stressed that they are developing InkCase Plus applicable to various mobile phone models, so they do not need to change their cell phones to YotaPhone to experience the E-Ink screen.
The InkCase team started the InkCase Plus project in last September and is currently in the crowdfunding stage. The team is expected to start mass production in September this year and release in October. In addition, InkCase Plus also provides software development kit sdks for developers. They hope more developers can participate in the project and add more functions for InkCase Plus.
