The product_locales parameter is used to control the specified package resource file.
Reasonable configuration of this parameter can reduce the size of the compiled APK file, thus saving system space.
Product_locales is specific to build/CORE/product_config.mk In the android source code directory.
For example, you can configure product_locales to product_locales: = ldpi mdpi hdpi to package all the ldpi mdpi hdpi Resources in the Application resource package into the APK. If your phone resolution only uses mdpi, the other two types are redundant and will only occupy null space.
You only need to configure it to product_locales: = mdpi, so that only mdpi resources are compiled.
However, in real time, product_locales also contains Language Pack information, for example, product_locales: = zh_cn en_us mdpi
This indicates that this APK contains the zh_cn en_us Language Pack and the mdpi resource package.
