Reprint Note: After upgrading the EI captitan, the Mac system to a lot of file management rights directly to the lock, root can not be modified, at present, as far as I know the affected include vim configuration file, some Python files (python to EXE program tools will also be problematic), This article provides a good idea, I also in the installation of Ipython when the article was searched.

Pro-Test the original content is available, but it seems that there is a step missing, because I completely follow the original content after the installation Ipython can not find, but also in the PIP installed and updated after running Easy_install, so that the Ipython to join the/usr/bin/path.

The following is the original content:

Original title: "Installing IPython and Xtrafinder on Mac OS X El Capitan"

Originally I thought that would not have this article, because originally on the Mac OS X 10.9 system very easy installs the IPython, who thought today to upgrade to the Mac OS X 10.11 (El Capitan), but let many of the things that were naturally made in the year become less convenient.

Because the SIP (System Integrity Protection) feature is enabled by default for Mac OS X 10.11 (El Capitan), some system files cannot be handled even with "sudo" Dafa, such as installing IPython, installing Xtrafinder . Apps, under SIP "protection", are not perfect for installation.

Ipyhton:http://ipython.org is a python interactive shell that works much better than the default Python shell, supports variable auto-completion, auto-indent, supports bash shell commands, and has many useful functions and functions built into it.

The installation method is as follows:

First restart the system, while the power-on sound sounded while holding Command + R key, when the Apple Logo Black and white screen to release the keyboard, into the recovery mode of the Operation panel, and then open "Terminal", enter:

1 csrutil disable

After executing the command, restart the system so that the SIP function is turned off.

After entering the system, open "terminal", if you have already installed the PIP (refer to this article), and then enter:

1 pipinstallipython

Next you can see the installation screen:

Because I did not close the SIP during the first installation, causing an error in the installation process, reinstalling after closing the SIP, prompting me to upgrade some files, I then entered the following command in "Terminal" to upgrade:

1 pipinstall-U ipython

Once the upgrade is successful, execute the command "ipython" to use Ipython normally:

Xtrafinder:https://www.trankynam.com/xtrafinder a Finder enhancement tool, supports multi-label finder, supports full-screen function of Mac OS X, and supports setting whether to display in top right-hand corner menu Xtrafinder icon, support Quick Show/Hide file, support custom shortcut key, support right-click New file and so on.

The installation method is as follows:

Go to the official website to download the installation package, and then execute the installation file if the SIP feature is turned off.

After the Xtrafinder.app is successfully installed, the

Xtrafinder.osax files in the/library/scriptingadditions/directory

Move to

Under the/system/library/scriptingadditions/directory

Then open the Terminal Input command:

1 sudoln-s/System/Library/ScriptingAdditions/XtraFinder.osax/Library/ScriptingAdditions/

The system can be used normally after rebooting.

If both of the above are successfully installed, the SIP function can be reopened again. The open method is to press and hold the Command + R key after restarting to enter the operating panel of the recovery mode, and then turn on the terminal input:

1 csrutilenable

After the command is executed, reboot the system so that the SIP function is functioning again.
