RedHat ENTERPRISE 5.4X64 configure Oracle 11gR2 step overview:

1. decompress the oracle_installation package. Zip. Copy the second installation package to the desktop and decompress the package. Copy the contents under component to the first installation directory component.

2. Create an oracle account.

3. Under root, [Assign permissions] to the oracle installation directory ].
4. Create a directory and assign permissions to the user Linux Oracle 11g
# Mkdir-p/u01/app/oracle
# Mkdir-p/u02/oradata
# Chown-R oracle: oinstall/u01/app/oracle/u02/oradata

5. Switch to the oracle account and perform installation.

The swap partition must be set to 1.5 times or 2 times the physical memory size. Otherwise, the swap size will be detected during the oracle installation process, and it may not be able to pass through.
