SECURECRT Accessing the Development Board Linux system

Objective:

Recently in the use of OK6410 Development Board running Linux system, often on the terminal to knock some instructions, but the Development Board screen is too small to use it very inconvenient, so the use of a terminal can run in the software on Windows is connected to the Development Board and operates the Development Board directly on the computer, which is securecrt.

1, the simple configuration of the software:

Install the securecrt Software, then open the file -- Quick Connect

Then select a protocol to connect to the Development Board and configure the parameters

I directly use the serial port to connect the development Board and notebook computer, so the protocol is selected serial, the port can be viewed in the computer's Device Manager, if there is a yellow exclamation point need to update the driver, the configuration of the relevant parameters must be consistent with their own Development Board parameters, then click Connect.

No problem, you can operate the Development Board in the terminal.

2, about garbled:

If the terminal is garbled, then it is possible that in the fast connection configuration, some parameters are misconfigured, if there is no problem with the configuration parameters, then it is possible that the software selection of the encoding method and the coding method in the Development Board caused by inconsistency.

Development Board, check the system encoding, if it is UTF-8 do not modify, otherwise log in with the root user , and then find the configuration file about the encoding. If the installation system is a Chinese system, modify the lang= "ZH_CN. UTF-8 "; If the system is installed in English, modify the lang=" en_US. UTF-8 ".

3, Windows and Development Board to pass files

There are several ways to transfer files, and this is just the easiest way to write the Zmodem that I think is the easiest to operate.

(1) Windows to Development Board Linux transfer file command:rz, enter after the dialog box will pop up

After the transfer is over, the file is under the current directory of Linux

(2) Development Board Linux system to Windows Transfer File command:sz file name

The file is transferred to your computer's "Downloads" folder ( This may vary depending on your computer system and software version, or in the download folder below the installation program of the software )
