Although the Oracle database OUI graphical installation method is relatively intuitive, because the project jumps several times through the vpn in the Intranet environment, the virtual host, because Xwindow and vnc are stuck in a few CIDR blocks and the data center is not in the local environment, the Xwindow and vnc eventually give up (the working principle of vnc is the imaging of a frame-by-frame transmission image, in this case, Silent Installation is the only option. Of course, Silent Installation is also recommended for Oracle.

Applicable environment for silent installation:
1. graphical installation is not possible, and the host is not normally used in Xwindow and Hong Kong Space, just like my project.
2. Large-scale batch installation and deployment of databases, U.S. servers, especially in database batch installation, can greatly reduce repeated dba work, but a genuine Oracle license requires tens of millions of RMB, therefore, companies that can install in batches are very handsome and can only envy and hate people.

First, prepare the system installation environment, that is, install the necessary rpm package. I will write all the rpm package names to a file.

Then write a simple script to execute the script program to automatically install all necessary rpm packages

Check the Host Name of the oracle Database Server

Create at least two groups of DBAs, oinstall and one user oracle, and change the User Password

Verify whether the nobody user exists

Change the OS version to RHEL4

# Vim/etc/redhat-release

Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server release 4

Modify the/etc/sysctl. conf file and add the following content:

# Sysctl-p // make the kernel parameters take effect immediately

Modify shell operation restrictions of oracle users

Modify pam module restrictions

Modify global environment variable parameters

Create the root directory of oracle Installation Software

Modify the user variable parameters of an oracle user

Upload the file 10201_database_linux32.zip to the/u01 directory by using the rootuser to decompress the file.

# Unzip 10201_database_linux32.zip

Modify the directory permission and switch to the oracle user to install the database as an oracle user

# Chown-R oracle: oinstall/u01

# Chmod-R 775/u01 # su-oracle

There is a response directory in the Oracle Installation File, which stores the Silent Installation Template. Use this template (you must carefully study the template ).

We need to record the automatic response file of a template by ourselves. Follow these steps and click Next.

Click cancel in the last step.

Check whether an automatic response file is generated

Finally, use the recorded automatic response file for Silent Installation.

Test whether the database is normal

Now the Silent Installation of oracle software and database creation is complete!
