Solution to missing in the left search bar of ubuntu dash

Recently, I 've been playing ubuntu, and I like to reverse some things to break down the system for many times. However, I can also find a solution and record it for future search, (Some items cannot be found on baidu ,,,,)

 

I feel that the left sidebar of ubuntu is dash launcher. If you cannot customize it, you can find a nice taskbar on the Internet.

Discover the dock (concise) and cairo-dock (gorgeous many theme)

How to install the dock:

Apt-get docky

 

Cairo-dock installation method:

Open Software Center> search for "Cairo-Dock" or "GLX-Dock"> install

Certificate -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

However, if it takes a long time to uninstall cairo-dock

Apt-get purge cairo *

 

As a result, the built-in dash of the system is not checked, and the dash installation package is not damaged. The cairo-dock string is used to change the dash settings.

 

You can solve the problem in the following steps.

Apt-get compizconfig-settings-
Unity -- reset

Reboot is enough.

Unity -- replace (restored initially)
