I changed my new mobile phone a few days ago. After a while, I found that the contacts imported to my Google account could not be searched, either in pinyin or Chinese characters. No contacts were found in Google search. After searching online, I found the following solution:
- Delete a Google account
- Restart
- Re-import Google account
The Google account has not been deleted, in my previous article "how to delete a google account without restoring factory settings", I introduced a method to delete a Google account by deleting the following four files.
/Data/system/account. db
/Data/system/registered_services/android. accounts. AccountAuthenticator. xml
/Data/system/registered_services/android. content. SyncAdapter. xml
/Data/system/sync/account. xml
When I followed this step, I found a new problem. My mobile phone does not have the/data/system/account. db file, so I tried to delete the remaining three files. After restarting, you can find that your Google account is still there, but the contact query is back to normal. You can also find contacts in Google search.
If you encounter the same problem, you can try this method, but remember to back up the original file before deleting it. However, I am not familiar with Android and do not guarantee that this method is valid or take responsibility for the impact of this operation.
