3. Configuration steps:
Primary Server (A-machine) settings
(1) Enable log Shipping Configuration
Right-click the database for which you want to configure log transport->tasks-> ship Transaction logs...->enable this as a primary database in a log shipping Configura tion Hook
(2) Click Backup Setting
Create a backup folder, Network path and local path
How long before the log file is deleted
Warning, how long does no log backup issue a warning
Backup Job Schedule, set up detailed backups time and Sunday
Compression selection, General choice compress Backup, can reduce the network IO
secondary server (b-machine) settings
(1) In secondary databases, click Add
(2) Connecting to the secondary server
There are three tabs:
Initialize Secondary Database, initializes the secondary server with full backup of the primary.
Copy files, the location of the primary server log file backup.
Restore Transaction log, recover transaction log options.
Note: You can add multiple secondary servers.
(3) Warning server settings (optional)
The configuration of logshipping is basically completed by the above steps.
