Mac OS X system, which is used on Apple computers, can be called one of the best operating systems. However, just as we use Windows, some simple tuning can make this operating system even better. OS X has a lot of strange and inconvenient settings in its default state, which requires us to optimize it ourselves.
10. Add a folder or drive to the dock
If you are a user who is accustomed to using the Start menu from the Windows platform to the Mac platform, you can drag the application folder into the dock and place it between the trash bin and the vertical split line. Click on the dragged chart to pop up a list of programs that are vertically expanded, much like the Windows Program menu. Others can, say, a hard drive or even a flash disk.
9. Add application shortcuts to the Finder sidebar
To better use your application, you can add shortcuts to the Finder toolbar and, of course, to the sidebar.
8. Set the default browser
If you're using a different browser to discard Safari, it's best to set it up so that each click of the connection is opened through the selected browser. Ironically, setting the other browsers to default needs to be implemented in Safari's parameters panel.
7. Set Active screen Corners
Active screen corners can implement mouse gestures on your OS X desktop and move your cursor to Four corners to achieve the defined functionality. Set in the System Preferences panel.
6. Add a path button to the Finder's sidebar
The Finder's default settings make it difficult for users to easily see the current level of the folder, but if you drag and drop the path button, you can do so.
5. Display folder and drive details
The ability to see the disk's capacity and remaining space immediately, or how many files there are in the folder, simply select Show item info on the Finder's viewing options.
4. Remove the dashboard from the dock
If you don't want dashboard to occupy the precious territory of the dock, click on it to choose to remove it.
3. Enable the TAB key
For some unknown reason, the TAB key can only be used in a text box or list by default, and it can be all universal by manually changing to all controls in the System Preferences keyboard & mouse panel.
2. Managing software that runs automatically
In the Login Items tab of the Accounts panel in System Preferences, you can change what programs are loaded automatically when Mac OS x starts.
1. Set your own drive chart
The first time you can tell the camera on the computer, flash disk, each hard disk partition, peripherals and so on is the distribution of distinctive personality icon. You can also use a custom icon in your Mac OS x system.
