Mobile analytics flurry today released a report saying that the number of iOS and Android devices activated in the Chinese market has exceeded that in some time periods in February this year.
The report also shows that by the end of March, iOS and Android devices will be activated in the Chinese market, accounting for 24%, surpassing 21% in the United States.
Industry insiders pointed out that this development trend is not surprising because China is the world's most populous country and the country's first country with more than 1 billion mobile phone users. But it should be pointed out that China is increasingly becoming the focus of Apple and other companies.
Earlier this year, Tim Cook, Apple's CEO, said at a conference call about the iPhone 4S sales performance in Greater China, sales of such mobile phones in the Chinese market have been fluctuating.
Market research firm IDC reported last week that China is expected to surpass the United States as early as this year and become the world's largest smartphone market.
