On June 23, the MeeGo team announced the official release of MeeGo 1.2. MeeGo is an open-source mobile device operating system project that combines intel-led Moblin project with Nokia-led Maemo project into a single open-source practice. Currently, MeeGo is applicable to netbooks, simple desktops, handheld computing and communication devices, on-board information and entertainment devices, Internet television, and multimedia phones.
Main features of MeeGo v1.2:
1. The MeeGo kernel supports Intel Atom and ARMv7 platforms.
2. Qt application framework and extended mobility APIs, rich application and touch functions.
3. Enhanced voice communication and connection functions, including:
GSM, GPRS, and HSPA + network support
Sim Card Application Kit
Bluetooth configuration file extension
VPN and wireless Extended Authentication Methods
USB interface, wireless network, and BT-PAN data traction
Enhanced multimedia support, including progressive download and streaming media RTSP

MeeGo sdks 1.2 for MeeGo Core OS and supported UXs.
MeeGo SDK 1.2 is also released, providing a complete development environment based on Qt Creator, integrating help information, simulators, and virtual machines (QEMU ).
