Troubleshooting Eclipse Delete Tomcat8 cannot add new issues

Situation: After deleting tomcat8, when new, after selecting Tomcat8, cannot "next".

Solve:

1. Close eclipse, go to Eclipse's workspace, and go to the \.metadata\.plugins\org.eclipse.core.runtime\.settings folder

2. Locate the Org.eclipse.jst.server.tomcat.core.prefs file and delete the corresponding record

3. Locate the Org.eclipse.wst.server.core.prefs file and delete the corresponding record

4. Re-add the tomcat8.

PS: not limited to tomcat8; both files are deleted directly and re-added.
