The Oracle Database 11g full reference manual contains the contents of the license, as follows:
The first step in using the software is to successfully install the software. If you do not consider installing Oracle's hardware and software platforms, you can choose the same type of installation.
Although the types between different versions are not exactly the same, they generally include the following: Enterprise Edition (Enterprise Edition): This version is the most fully functional Oracle database, the best scalable version. It contains features such as the Flashback database (Flash back) and allows you to add other features that have been purchased for licenses, such as Oracle Spatial, Oracle OLAP, Oracle Label Security, and Oracle Data Mining Standard Edition (Standard Edition): This version provides a good subset of features for the Enterprise Edition, often containing the features required by small companies Personal Edition (Personal Edition): This release allows you to develop applications that will run on standard or Enterprise editions. It cannot be used to develop commercial products
Only the specified user or CPU can obtain permission from the Oracle database, and multiple users cannot use the same license at the same time. Therefore, the DBA should use the initialization parameter license_max_users to specify the maximum number of users that can be created in the database. In addition, Oracle Management server (the backend for Oracle Enterprisemanager (OEM) clients) can install the server-side or client-side. However, it is best to perform this installation after the basic installation of the database is complete.
