Use Android SDK Manager to install intel for Android * simulator plug-in & #174; lingdong™X86 System Image

Android * x86 simulator image plugin requires the installation of the Android SDK. For Android SDK installation instructions, see the Android developer website (http://developer.android.com/sdk/installing.html ). Android SDK Manager allows you to download and install the image plug-in of the Intel Atom Android x86 simulator. Perform the following steps:
 

  1. Start the Android SDK Manager program.
  2. In the software package Android 2.3.3 (API 10), select the check box and select "Intel Atom x86 System Image by Intel Corporation ".
  3. Click "Install Package", as shown in the following figure:

    (Note: you may need to install more than one software package based on the other software packages pre-selected by you or the Android SDK Manager program .)
     

  4. View the Intel license agreement. If you Accept these terms, select the "Accept" option and click the "Install" button, as shown below.
     

  5. In this case, Android SDK Manager downloads the plug-in and installs it in your Android SDK plug-in folder (<sdk>/add-ons /). Depending on your connection speed, the download and installation may take several minutes.
  6. Check that the Status corresponding to "Intel Atom x86 System Image by Intel Corporation" in the "Status" column is "Installed", as shown below:
     

  7. Under the "Tools" menu, select "Manage AVDs...", as shown below:
     

  8. The "Android Virtual Device Manager" window appears. Select "New" in the window.
     

  9. Enter a Name for your virtual device in the "Name" field. Note that no space is allowed in the Name field.
  10. Select "Intel Atomx86 System Image (Intel Corporation)-API Level 10" from the drop-down list of the "Target" field, as shown below:
     

  11. Select Configuration Settings and click "Create AVD.
     

  12. A new Virtual Device is displayed on Android Virtual Device Manager. Select the new device and click "Start...", as shown below ::
     

  13. The "Launch Options" window appears. In this window, select the screen size and dpi for your system. Otherwise, the simulator may be out of the display range. Click the "Launch" button as follows:
     

  14. The simulator will start in a few minutes and you will see the following screen:
