Using Eclipse remote Debugging to deploy a Web application under Tomcat

Today, my colleague told me a way to use Eclipse remote debugging to deploy a Web application under Tomcat: Install the uncompressed version of Tomcat because it now looks like there is no catalina.sh (. bat) file under the Windows Installer directory of Tomcat; Modify the Jpda_address port in catalina.sh (. bat), for example, by default, this configuration is jpda_address= "8000", now modify it to the port we want to use, use 8000 here by default; start Tomcat , enter the ${catalina_home}/bin directory in command line mode, Input catalina.sh (BAT) jpda start Eclipse, select the class you want to debug and set breakpoints, and then select the Debug submenu under the Debug toolbar , in the Debug Selection window that pops up, select Remote debugging in the menu item on the left, then enter the machine name and port, such as localhost and 8000, and apply and start debug, open the browser, and enter the page you want to debug. The debug window of Eclipse is activated, and debug can be done at this point.
