What is DDNS?
I. Introduction to DDNS
The DNS and domain name system are a service of the Internet. As a distributed database that maps domain names and IP addresses to each other, it makes it easier for people to access the Internet.
DDNS, a dynamic domain name system, is a technology that automatically updates the name server content in the Domain Name System (DNS. In traditional DNS, the domain name must be bound to a fixed IP address. When the IP address changes, you must manually update the ing between the IP address and the domain name, in order to ensure that the changed IP address still corresponds to the domain name, other users can access it. DDNS is used to automate the update process.
Ii. DDNS principles
DDNS uses the Client/Server mode in a typical networking environment.
DDNS client: captures IP changes on the device in real time
DDNS server: notifies the DNS server to update the relationship between the domain name and IP address.
So when the IP address on the device changes, the DDNS client will capture this change and send the correspondence between the new IP address and the domain name to the DDNS server, the DDNS server notifies the DNS server to update the ing between domain names and IP addresses. Other end users can still use the service of the device through the original domain name.
