Recently, I set the power option to sleep, sleep, and shut down the hard disk on my computer. I just checked it online.
Sleep is an energy-saving state. Sleep can save all open documents and programs. When you want to start working again, you can quickly restore the computer to full power (usually within a few seconds ). Putting a computer to sleep is like pausing a DVD player: The computer immediately stops ongoing operations and is ready to start again when you want to resume working.
Advantages: fast recovery, shaking, and buttons. It usually takes a short time to leave, and you are eager to restore the information just now. You may want to sleep.
Disadvantages: 1. The memory needs power supply, otherwise the information in Ram will be lost. 2. If the system shuts down at this time and the ram loses power, the information in front of it is completely lost.
Sleep is also an energy-saving status. However, sleep usually saves the settings in the memory and consumes a small amount of power, while sleep saves open documents and programs to the hard disk, and then closes the computer. In all energy-saving windows, sleep consumes the least power. When the computer's battery power is seriously insufficient, Windows will automatically bring the mobile PC to sleep mode.
Advantages:
1. Shut down without any worries. The memory is written to the hard disk, and the hard disk will not be lost without power supply information. Even if the power is unplugged and the battery is unplugged, it can be restarted in the future. The original status can be completely restored.
2. Almost completely no electricity is needed (many computer boards are powered on by power, and can be started on a keyboard ). In this case, you can turn off the power.
3. The wake-up operation must be performed by pressing the keyboard key (depending on the personal motherboard Design). Press Ctrl + F1 to start the system on your computer. Start the notebook with the power key.
Disadvantage: The system disk occupies the memory capacity.
When the machine remains idle for a long time, the hard disk will be in a "Daze" State to prevent the hard disk from being turned off after a long hard disk rotation setting; when the computer is operated again, the hard disk will be re-activated; of course, this function is mainly to prevent the hard disk from running without tasks for a long time and hard disk life; however, it should be noted that the hard disk will consume more resources during hard disk startup and shutdown, which is also the reason why the computer does not allow frequent restart. Therefore, we recommend that you disable the hard disk function on your computer; this will prolong the hard disk service life;
It has nothing to do with shutting down the hard disk and waiting for sleep. As long as the machine is in a daze for a specified time, the hard disk will stop and execute commands on the computer to start the hard disk. That is to say, you shut down the hard disk for 10 minutes, after 15 minutes of sleep, you still need to move the hard disk to save the existing state to the hard disk. Of course, if you sleep the hard disk, it will naturally shut down. Therefore, it is recommended that you disable hard disk selection. (Of course, if you do not sleep or shut down for more than a decade, enabling or disabling the hard disk will protect you .)
