On September 6, 7.1, Microsoft pushed the Windows phone7.5 (codenamed mango) Update to users. On September 6, Microsoft officially released the RTW version of the Windows Phone SDK development tool for developers (download, complete ISO ).
Windows phonesdk7.1 is available in 9 languages: English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Russian, Spanish, and traditional Chinese. Note that if you have developed and submitted applications through windowsphonesdk7.1rc, you do not need to compile or resubmit the applications with RTW.
Cliff Simpkins, Senior Product Manager of Windows Phone, reviewed some data about mango development since mix11:
· In the past three months, more than 70,000 developers have successfully upgraded their devices to mango;
· 50,000 + visitors watch jumpstart videos and provide over 450,000 + hours of videos;
· 20,000 + uservoice votes, with 550 suggestions;
· More than 4200 users posted on the 'mango Update' apphub forum, with more than 285,000 visits;
· A total of 50 + Tully coffee cups were consumed during Microsoft connect invitations;
· Eight devices are sent back to the Redmond headquarters for special care;
So far, Microsoft has released three beta versions (beta1, beta2, and beta2 refresh), as well as RC and RTW versions today.
