Generally, to achieve remote control, you must install control software on the server and the client separately. If you want to remotely control a computer in different places, every time you install the software on the client, this remotelyanywhere solves this problem, as long as the software is installed on the controlled computer, then you can remotely control a computer with remotelyanywhere via a browser (such as IE) on any computer that can access the Internet.
Note that the remote client browser must support Java to control the server.
1. Activate remotelyanywhere
Step 1: double-click the remotelyanywhere icon in the tray of the taskbar to display the remotelyanywhere interface (figure 1 ), click the blue text "please click here to activate remotelyanywhere" under "remotelyanywhere is not activated.
Step 2: The remotelyanywhere authentication dialog box is displayed. Enter the user name and password, and click "Log on.
Step 3: on the "Welcome to remotelyanywhere" Page, select "I want to test for free" and click "Next.
Step 4: The "free 30-day trial" page is displayed. Select "Enterprise Edition" from the drop-down list box of "product type". After entering all the other information, click "Next. In this case, the "remotelyanywhere already activated" page is displayed. Then, click "restart remotelyanywhere" to restart remotelyanywhere.
TIPS: You can try this software for free for 30 days after activation.
Ii. Remote control practices
Step 1: Run remotelyanywhere. Enter the user name and password, click "Log on", and double-click the green arrow icon in the system tray. If the "remotelyanywhere is disabled" dialog box is displayed, click "enable remotelyanywhere" to enable the software. If the "remotelyanywhere enabled" dialog box is displayed (Figure 2), you can see the IP address required for remote control of this computer.
Step 2: Open IE browser on the computer you want to control, and enter the IP address and logon port of the computer on the IE address, for example, "http: // 221.236.145.128: 2000 "(double quotation marks are not required ). After you press enter, the browser window will display the logon interface.
Step 3: Fill in the username and password boxes respectively with the username and password for remote logon during installation, and click "Log on.
Step 4: log on to the controlled computer and click "Remote Control" on the left side of the window. The "Security Settings warning" dialog box is displayed automatically. Click "Yes (y)" to start installation.
Step 5: click "screenshot-based Remote Control" on the right of the window to view the computer interface of the controlled server (Figure 3 ), then you can implement remote control over this computer.
TIPS: if your computer does not install Java virtual machine, you can follow the prompts provided by IE browser to Microsoft Site automatically download and install, you can also download Sun's Java virtual machine to the http://www.sun.com.
