Run ASP.net 4 on the Linux operating system (top)

Currently the most popular Linux operating system distribution is Ubuntu. But this time we are running asp.net in the Linux operating system, so we chose OpenSUSE. I am ready to install the OpenSUSE 11.3 operating system in Oracle VM VirtualBox.

First, download Opensuse-11.3-dvd-x86_64.iso files to the official website of OpenSUSE.

Then run Oracle VM VirtualBox 4.0, create a new openSuse virtual machine and set the following figure:

In order for the host to be able to access the virtual machine from the network, the network connection must be set to bridged Adapter, as shown in the following illustration:

Note the MAC address of the image above and assign it a static address at the broadband router, as shown in the following illustration:

Click the Start button on the Oracle VM VirtualBox toolbar to begin installing the OpenSUSE operating system.

Press F2 to choose Simplified Chinese as the default language. Then select Install from the main menu. Click the Next button all the way up to the desktop selection:

The default is the KDE desktop, I actually chose the GNOME desktop, because the Ubuntu operating system default desktop is the GNOME desktop, with cooked, do not want to change. As you can see from the illustration above, if you are installing a production server, it is best to choose the minimized server selection (text mode). Click Next and now is the time to plan your disk partitions:

To use the proposed zoning OK, click Next, enter User Setup steps:

After entering the user name and password items, click Next to enter the installation summary:

I changed the items in the software selection, removed the desktop features, added. NET development.

Once the confirmation is correct, click Install and proceed to the long installation process:

After the package installation is complete, the automatic reboot is shown in the following illustration:

Finally, complete the installation of the desktop into the OpenSUSE operating system:

At this point, the OpenSUSE 11.3 operating system is installed.

After you close the OpenSUSE virtual machine, you should remove the optical drive from the boot sequence in the virtual machine setup, as shown in the following illustration:
