It is indirectly based on the William Jolitz ' s port of u.c Berkeley ' s net/2 to i386, as 386BSD, although the 386BSD code remains very small. FreeBSD 8.3 This version supports USB packet filters. The TCP/IP protocol stack now supports pluggable MOD_CC (9) Congestion control frameworks. A Graid (8) Geom class is added to support various BIOS based software RAID controllers. The ZFS subsystem was updated with spa version 28. The Gnome version 2.32.1 and KDE4.7.4 are included.
