RAID is an abbreviation for the >disks of the English redundant Array of inexpensive http://www.aliyun.com/zixun/aggregation/29800.html. A redundant array of inexpensive disks, or a short disk array, is translated into Chinese. Simply put, RAID is a technology that combines multiple separate hard disks (physical hard disks) into a single hard drive group (logical hard disk) in a different way, providing higher storage performance and data redundancy than individual drives. The different ways to make up a disk array are RAID levels (Raidlevels). The function of data redundancy is to use redundant information to recover the corrupted data once the data has been damaged. A disk group is like a hard disk, you can partition it, format it, and so on. In summary, the disk array operation is identical to a single hard disk. The difference is that the disk array has a much higher storage performance than a single hard drive and can provide data redundancy.

Here's how to set up and make up SATA RAID.
Note: RAID 0, RAID 1 mode hard drive is up to 2
Currently, Intel's RAID-enabled South Bridge has only ich7r/ich8r/ich9r/ich10r
Preparatory work:
1, Windows SP1/SP2 system CD-ROM (original XP) please do not use a simplified version or modified version)
2, floppy drive, floppy disk each, first the board's raid driver copied to the floppy disk (F6 load RAID driver)
3. Need to build raid hard drive
