About Fuse

Lufs is a mixed user-space File system framework that provides transparent support for countless file systems for any application. Most lufs include a kernel module and a daemon for user space. Fundamentally, it delegates most of the VFS calls to a dedicated daemon to process. Userfs allows a user process to load like a normal file system. This conceptual prototype provides FTPFS, which provides anonymous FTP access using the file system interface. UFO Project is a global file system for Solaris that allows users to treat remote files as if they were local files. OpenAFS is an open source version of Andrew filesystem. CIFS is the abbreviation for Common Internet filesystem.
