Roundcube Webmail (ispconfig 3) Installation Instructions

Installation usage:

1. Preliminary notes

This tutorial assumes that you are using Apache2 as a Web server on a ispconfig 3 server, and the following instructions do not support nginx. This article describes the installation of Roundcube from the Debian wheezy repository, with the latest stable version being 0.7.2.9 and 0.9.1.

Roundcube can be configured from each virtual host via alias/message (for example, Http://www.example.com/webmail).

If you have used another webmail application similar to SquirrelMail, you should disable it entirely, or at least label it with an alias/message. If you have installed SquirrelMail as a Debian package, you can find aliases in/etc/apache2/conf.d/squirrelmail.conf, or comment out aliases to disable/mail aliases. or comment out the entire file to completely disable SquirrelMail. Finally, don't forget to restart Apache.

2. Create a remote user in Ispconfig

The Roundcube Ispconfig 3 plug-in works through the Ispconfig remote API. Using this API, we need a remote user who can enter the System > Admin > Remote User and click on the "Add New User" button, as shown below:
