The Universal communication Wireless interface, the original "U" refers to UMTS, because UMTS is not accepted in 3GPP, so changed to Universal, refers to 3GPP defined two kinds of wireless interface: UTRAFDD (http://www.aliyun.com/zixun/ Aggregation/3035.html ">WCDMA" and UTRATDD (including TD-SCDMA/LCRTDD and HCRTDD). UTRA-TDD can be regarded as the product of combination of CDMA and TDMA. UTRA-FDD is a purely CDMA based system that distinguishes each other by the frequency and code words of the user's signal. The upper and lower links in the UTRA-TDD occupy the same frequency band, but alternately convert the transmission direction over time. UTRA-FDD the upper and lower row links occupy different independent bands.
