Windows 7 System Recovery Options Description

The System Recovery Options menu contains several tools, such as Startup Repair, to help you recover Windows from a critical error. This toolset is located on your computer's hard disk and on the Windows installation CD.

Start Repair

Fix some problems that might prevent Windows from starting properly, such as missing or corrupted system files. System Restore

Restores your computer's system files to a previous point in time without affecting your files (such as e-mail, documents, or photos).

If you use System Restore on the System Recovery Options menu, you will not be able to undo the restore operation. System image Recovery

You need to create a system image beforehand before you can use this option.
