Ask: The new kernel cannot be started after the kernel is compiled! -- Linux general technology-Linux programming and kernel information. The following is a detailed description. I have just started linux and compiled the 2.6.29 kernel. The compilation process is smooth, but it is displayed at startup.
Mount: cocould not find filesystem '/dev/root'
Setuproot: moving/dev failed: no such file or directory
Setuproot: error mounting/proc ......
......
Kernel panic -- not syncing: attempted to kill init!
Then it stops on this interface, and the restart of the key combination is useless, only power off, some methods of online query are useless. What is the problem? Please kindly advise! Very grateful!
I tried to create a new initrd, but it was useless. No ramfs created (no, huh, huh)
The original kernel can still enter normally!
The hard disk is SATA, the driver is selected, and the file format is ext3.

I am not very grateful for the trouble!
