1. Change Host Name:During the installation of the new Fedora 19 desktop, I am sure you have noticed this: Anaconda, that is, the Fedora system installer, does not provide you with the option to set the host name. The host name is localhost by default. If you have logged on to the desktop, you can use these two methods to confirm the Host Name: Enter the hostname in the shell terminal, or click the Details module in System Settings, the host name should be displayed in the Device name column.

It is easy to change the host name. If you want to change the new host name to "HUman", you only need to enter hostnamectl set-hostname HUman in the command line as the root user. That's easy! Remember that this step must be completed for Fedora Spins, rather than for GNOME 3 only.

2. Install GNOME adjustment Tool (GNOME Tweak Tool ):For me, a so-called "pure" GNOME shell is boring to use. Only the title bar of the window that shows the close button is just a very annoying aspect. However, with the help of GNOME adjustment tools, you can configure some of the features on the GUI. To install this tool, you can install it through a shell terminal or through a gpk application. If you use a shell terminal to install the tool, enter yum install gnome-tweak-tool as the root user. If you use a gpk application to install it, search for the application by name and install it. Then, you can start it from the application selector view. The main default view of the GNOME adjustment tool is as follows. I always like to change the first setting of Arrangement of buttons on the titlebar (arrange the buttons on the title bar ). I like to display all the buttons. This is only one of the many settings that you can change with the GNOME adjustment tool.

3. Install the extension:If you do not like the "pure" GNOME shell like me, but you do not want to give up GNOME 3 desktop and change it to another desktop environment, you can install many extensions, these extensions can be used to change GNOME 3 desktops based on your preferences. 2 Extensions for GNOME 3 to improve productivity. 4. Install the game:The default installation of Fedora 19 KDE comes with a batch of pre-installed games, but GNOME 3 only comes with one game.
