I. system environment
CentOS6.X series
Ntop4.1.0
2. preparations before installation
2.1 install Basic services in Linux;
2.2 configure network information and disable SELinux and iptables;
2.3 install basic common tools and commands:
Yum-y install yum-plugin * telnet nmap lrzsz
2.4 install the development libraries and software required by Ntop:
Yum-y install libtool
Yum-y install libpcap-devel
Yum-y install zlib-devel
Yum-y install rrdtool *
Note: after these libraries and software are installed on my system, you can. Different systems may need more software packages. when Ntop is compiled, you will be prompted to install the missing yum directly;
3. install GeoIP
GeoIP is used to locate the geographical longitude and latitude of a visitor, country/region, province/city, or even street.

Tar xzvf GeoIP.tar.gz
Cd GeoIP-1.4.8
./Configure -- prefix =/usr/local/GeoIP
Make
Make install
4. install and configure Ntop
