Problem description:
The operating system of the server is CentOS 5.5. Many systems have been running on the server and PHP5.2.10 is installed. The stable yum installation source version of Centos5.X is 5.1.6 and does not comply with the latest phpmyadmin version (5.2 or later). After you download the latest phpmyadmin version, the system prompts that the mysql support module is missing. I checked that the php-mysql module was not installed when I installed php. Directly re-compile the php source code to install it.
A convenient method:
Add a third-party source for yum, and then install it directly using yum-y install php-mysql.
The following method is used to make a record from the network.
Import address: rpm -- import http://www.jasonlitka.com/media/RPM-GPG-KEY-jlitka
Edit yum Source: vi/etc/yum. repos. d/CentOS-Base.repo
Add the following information at the bottom:
[Utterramblings]
Name = Jason's Utter Ramblings Repo
Baseurl = http://www.jasonlitka.com/media/el?releasever/?basearch/
Enabled = 1
Gpgcheck = 1
Gpgkey = http://www.jasonlitka.com/media/RPM-GPG-KEY-jlitka
Then run the installation command: The yum-y install php-mysql system will automatically read the appropriate php-mysl module from the source added above, and restart the httpd service after the installation is complete, then you can access it.
This method is also suitable for the default php5.1.6 installation before you upgrade to version 5.2.
