An invalid character error was returned when a Fedora19bug report was submitted by a Fedora developer. The investigation found that the bug encountered when reporting the bug is rooted in the libreport of the bug reporting system. The bug is triggered by the server-side file/etc/OS-release, which only contains one line of Characters & ldquo; fedorarelease19 (Schr & ouml; dinger 'scat) & rdquo ;. Its English name contains multiple uncommon characters, such as örno, which is not in the basic Latin alphabet, however, it is not öbut an asterisk (') that causes the problem. The shape of an asterisk is similar to that of a single quotation mark, but it is actually quite different.
For problems caused by code character processing, some developers have proposed the right to bypass the problem, and some developers have proposed to simply change the name, change Schrödinger's Cat to Schrodingers Cat or another alias that fully uses ASCII characters. It was pointed out that the ora 20 candidate development code Motörhead's Moshpit also contains non-ASCII characters, so it may be possible to fix the UTF-8 character processing problem to fundamentally solve the problem. Don Marti proposed to use the schrödinar's port as an alternative name, and thought it would be a bit more thorough if Unicode was used.
