Transfer to ext4 (several notes)-Linux Release Technology-Debian information. The following is a detailed description. [I = s] This post was last edited by Liu Chong at, September 30 ,.
It took a long time last night and finally moved to ext4!
Note the following points:
Grub does not recognize ext4 as the boot partition. However, if grub of ubuntu 9.04 and later versions are patched, ext4 can be used as the boot partition.
The grub2 software package already exists in debian and ubuntu sources. It can be installed and will automatically help you identify and install the boot program. It may be unfamiliar. There are many changes compared to grub. Check the information, do not act blindly.
In addition, the latest version of grub4dos can also be used to identify and guide ext4, which is more convenient, especially for windows comrades.
In addition, it is related to the configuration during kernel compilation and may not be bootable. If you confirm that ext4 support is added during kernel compilation, add rootfstype = ext4 to the grub boot parameter.
I also separated/tmp and started to forget something. As a result, the program could not be used normally. For example, if X cannot be enabled, I read the following prompt, the common user does not have the write permission for/tmp, so the parameter is changed in/etc/fstab!
