After opening a new project, let's review how to use the design's built-in brush

Randomly drag a shape in the main workspace and configure the brush, brush width, brush color

See if your graphics frame is getting different?

While the built-in brushes are many, the thoughtful design knows that our creativity is limitless, and we always want to show our uniqueness.

Knowing the use of brushes, let's start making our own brushes!

First make the look of the brush you want, I use polygon (shortcut J) to drag out a pentagram

Use edit polygon to adjust:

Point:5 (if you want to make a multi-angle shape, please hit the number of corners you want)

Inner Depth: Toward the center point depth, the larger the number the more toward the center point

Select the graphic you have made, object->stroke->new stroke definition into the edit brush mode

or the stroke option->add stroke in the lower left corner of the brush menu can also be entered in the Edit brush mode

When you see the screen, you're already in brush editing mode.

You will find that the system automatically turns your chosen graphics into another new project, without compromising the original design.

This means that you can easily turn a graphic into a brush and reuse it if you're designing it.

Then press File->save directly and a dialog window will appear to store the new brush.

Name: Name new brush for star

Folder: In a group placed in the Brush folder

Default width: Preset brush width, example set to 10

After pressing OK, you will be returned to the original project screen.

You will find that the original star is still in place, but we have just let his avatar become a new brush!

Let's test the brush we just made.

Pull a rectangle on the screen, then apply the brush that was just named "Star" and adjust the width and color

oops~! How not a star around the wildest side!?

Switch to the page where you just designed the brush

(If you've accidentally turned it off, you can find the brush in the brush style and then click the Stroke option->edit stroke)

In tools you can find the stroke Definition Box, Anchor Point, and Repeat, which are the three tool that will appear in the brush edit state.

First use the stroke Definition Box to re-pull the brush range

Then, after selecting Repeat, right-click on the star->make repeating, so that the stars can be arranged repeatedly

After the stars can be arranged in a repeating sequence, the image should have a node mark.

Drag the edges to determine how wide the star spacing is and then repeating

After adjustment, store the same file name as the one you just used to overwrite

Then back to the original project, you will find that the graphics on the screen have been automatically applied to the newly-created brush, the stars can be arranged in a star

P.S: After applying the brush, you can use stroke color to adjust the color of the brush, so you do not have to deliberately adjust the color of the shape when making the brush, but please try to black-based.
