(1) Break the limit of 20 times to undo
The Undo feature of PowerPoint provides a great convenience for editing a document. However, the default number of undo actions for PowerPoint is only 20 times. Click the Office button in the upper-left corner of the PowerPoint window, click PowerPoint Options, select Edit Options on the Advanced menu, and then set the number of times you want in the maximum number of actions to cancel. Note, however, that PowerPoint allows the undo operation to be undone up to 150 times.
(2) Update the date and time of the slide automatically
Follow the insert → header and footer, select the Date and Time check box under the Slides tab, select Automatic Updates, set the date and time format, and then click the Apply All or Apply button. This will automatically update the date and time each time you open the file.
(3) Eliminate the background color and pattern of the slide
In order to prepare for the lesson needs, we often need to borrow other teachers PPT courseware part of the slides, these slides of the design template and background image often different from their own, then you can first restore it to the original white slides, and then use. First, open the background style under the Design menu, select the appropriate style, and then select Hide Background graphic.
(4) Fast making subtitles move animation up and down
You must have seen the film on the effect of moving the subtitles up and down! It's easy to do this with PowerPoint. Insert a horizontal text box and enter a marquee text, resize the text box slightly less than the width of the slide, and drag it to the center of the slide. Select the text box with the mouse, and add the Custom Animation "Go"/"Other Effect"/"gorgeous"/"marquee" to it, and then click OK to achieve the effect of moving the caption up and down.

You can use custom animation in PowerPoint to let objects blink, to do this: first select the object you want to blink, add the flashing custom animation effect in accent/gorgeous for the object, double-click the effect in the Custom Animation list, and select Timings from the pop-up shortcut menu. Then set the appropriate speed and repetition times can be.
(6) solve the problem of dubbing the text aloud
When making English courseware with PowerPoint, we should realize the function of "listening with text", if the text is very long, put the text on a slide, the students can not see the text hint at all. If you put it on more than one slide, you must also intercept the sound file on the slide. In fact, we can use the text as a background sound to deal with, and combined with "rehearsal time" to solve this problem. The implementation method is as follows: ① Insert the recording in the listening section of the text, and set to play automatically; ② sets the sound's custom animation to "stop playing after n slides", n is the total number of slides in the text content; ③ Choose rehearse timings from the slide Show menu to make the slide transition match the recording.
(7) To do a little surgery on the picture
We often encounter such problems as: picture material from the overall effect, basically meet the requirements, but there is a partial picture of the local, want to remove this piece, if the requirements of the partial area is small, and the surrounding background color for a single color, you do not have to use a large image processing software, Simply insert a rectangle or other AutoShape that is slightly larger than the area you want to modify (depending on the shape you want to mask), and then adjust the color of the inserted graphic to the same color as the surrounding background by formatting AutoShape.
(8) to lose weight to the picture
After inserting the picture, we will find that the PPT courseware will become very large. There's a simple way to compress these pictures: Click the Compress Picture button on the Picture toolbar. To compress all the pictures in your presentation, select all the picture radio buttons in your document. To further reduce the file size, you can use the crop feature to cut out the extra parts of the picture.
(9) Prevent the PPT courseware from being modified incorrectly
One is to encrypt the document. Click the Office Button icon in the upper-left corner of the window, and then execute the Encrypt document command after you point to prepare in the pop-up shortcut menu, and protect the PPT with a reliable password.
The second is restricting access. Click the Office Button icon in the upper-left corner of the window, point to prepare in the pop-up shortcut menu, and then point to restrict permissions, and then execute the Restrict Access command.
(10) Unlimited package of sound files into the ppt file
The slides can be packaged into a computer that does not have PPT installed, and if a sound file is linked, the default is to package the sound material less than 100KB into the ppt file, and the sound material over that size is used as a separate material file. In fact, we can package all the sound files into the ppt file by setting. Click the Office Button icon in the upper-left corner of the window, and then click PowerPoint Options, select the Advanced option, and then change the "linked sound file" on the Save tab to large.
(11) Create interactive effects
The default order of the slide show is in the order of the slides, but by "Action settings" or "hyperlinks" to the elements in the slide, the linear show can be changed to improve the interactivity of the courseware.
① use action buttons to interact
The so-called "action" means that during the screening process, click the action button that you inserted beforehand, and the slide show immediately jumps or links to a specified slide, an external presentation, an animation made with another software, or another static screen, and so on, after these processes are over, Click the mouse and immediately return to the "breakpoint" to continue the show ahead. The way to interact with action buttons is as follows:
After you open the presentation, navigate to the slide where you want to set the action.
Click the Insert menu, click the Shape option in the drawing Options group, and then select a shape in the action buttons group in the list, move the mouse over the slide edit area and drag to draw the action button. In the Pop-up Action Settings dialog box, select the click Mouse or mouse over tab to set the action of the jump, and then click OK to exit the setting.
If you are linking to another slide or other video file, select the hyperlink to radio button, click the Drop-down arrow on the right, and then in the list box, select the slide or file you want to link to. If you are going to the execution of a program, select the Run Program radio, and then in the Right text box, enter the full path and program file name of the program you want to run. If you don't remember the path, click the Browse button to select the program file you want to run.
Tip: In a slide set a number of actions, only by using the mouse click to trigger, often control is not good, so that the action effect is not ideal. A simple setup allows multiple actions to be performed automatically and continuously. After you have finished making all the actions on the current slide, if you want the action two to automatically after the action, just click to select the action two in the task pane on the right side of the main window (if the task pane doesn't appear, just click an object with the mouse and select Custom Animation in the Animation Options feature Group), Then right click on the down arrow to the right of action two and execute "from previous" in the pop-up menu. If you want to do multiple actions in succession, just hold down the CTRL key and then use the left mouse button to select all the actions you want to continue, and use the above method to perform the "from previous" command.
② uses graphics, text objects to interact
Click to select or select the text you want to set action interaction on the drawing object you want to set the action to, click the Actions option button in the Insert Ribbon, open the Action Settings dialog box, and the Settings in the dialog box are exactly the same as described above.
③ Use hyperlinks to interact
Using hyperlinks also enables an interactive show, which is similar to the previous "action" interaction, but sets the environment somewhat differently. The method is to select the object to insert hyperlink (text, pictures, shapes, and so on), the Insert Hyperlink dialog box pops up when you click the Hyperlink option button in the Insert Ribbon, or you can right-click the object and select Hyperlink on the shortcut menu. In the dialog box that pops up, specify settings for the destination of the hyperlink, and then click OK to exit.
"Existing file or Web page" under Link to "contains 3 options." "Current Folder" refers to the list of objects under the folder you just used, "browsed pages" refers to pages that have been opened in recent times, and "Recently used files" refer to all the files that have been opened in the last period of time. The location in this document is limited to the title list of the current document (must be a title style approved by this software) and, if there are no canonical headings on the slide, then "Slide xx". "New Document" means you can immediately create a new document as a hyperlink target, in the file Name text box must enter the full path, otherwise it will not be found.
"E-mail" means that you can specify a full e-mail account, and if you have recently used multiple e-mail addresses, it will appear in the lower list box for easy selection.
Tip: If you select text, the overridden text appears in the Text to display box, and the text box is unavailable if you select a drawing object. Clicking the screen display button pops up the dialog box, where you enter the ScreenTip text that the mouse points to at the object as soon as the mouse pointer enters the area to help you understand what the hyperlink's goal is.
(12) Remove the underline in hyperlink text
Set hyperlinks to text, and if you use the Title box and text box provided by the template, the text of the hyperlink appears underlined, affecting the appearance. We can add our own text boxes, then select the entire text box (note: Not select the text box), and then hyperlinks to the text box, such hyperlinks will not be underlined, click the text will not change color, and the appearance of the hand icon area also increased, convenient for us to click. Note that the text box cannot be a title or subtitle text box.
