In this year's programming language rankings, Python won its first place for three consecutive years, followed by java,c++ and JavaScript.

The most noteworthy change this year is the object-c growth of 300%,c# also soaring 100%,javascript has also been outdone by an increase of 33% to stay in the lead position, while PHP has dropped the -55%,perl down -16%,java has plummeted-14%.

Another important index is tiobe, which has a more accurate grasp of the language market share than codeeval, and the industry's popular language rankings are more persuasive than codeeval.
