There are two types of USB interface printers, one is UTP, that is, direct USB interface printing, most of which is available on the market. One type is virtual serial port. USB is used as the serial port. The following describes the driver settings of the two methods.
1. USB virtual serial port printer.
Take GP58N as an example. This is a virtual serial port printer. You need to install two drivers: a virtual serial port driver and a printer driver. These two drivers can be downloaded from the official website of Jibo. The virtual serial port drivers are vcpdriver_v1.20.setup.rar and GP58 series drivers. 9.1.

After the two drivers are installed, plug in the printer interface. In Device Manager> Port, a serial port is displayed. Next, you can set the same settings as the serial printer. The computer can set any baud rate, and the printer will automatically match. For detailed installation, refer to the previous serial port settings for installation.
II. UTP printer
The vast majority of the market is in this way. Plug-and-play, no need to install additional drivers, just install the driver of the printer. The driver settings of this printer are also very simple
1. Make sure that the printer and computer are connected.
Connect the printer to the computer using a USB interface (winXP system) on my computer, right-click, choose properties, choose hardware, choose Device Manager, and choose universal serial bus controller. USB printersupport appears, 9.2 USB printing is supported in the same position in Win7. If this icon is displayed, it indicates that the printer has been connected to the computer.

2. Install the printer driver. How to install the driver is described in the previous article.
3. Make sure that the printer is ready. 9.3. If it is offline, right-click and choose "use online printing" to bring the printer to the ready state.

4. Select the correct USB interface.
Choose "printer" and "fax"> "driver". Right-click the driver and choose "properties"> "port 9.3".

We can see that there are four USB interfaces on my computer, USB... USB004, only one of the four interfaces is a valid port for the printer. You need to select test printing one by one. For example, after selecting the USB001 interface, click OK, go to "general" and print the test page. If not. After selecting the USB 002 port, make sure that the printer isOnline Status. If it cannot be printed, select another port. Until it can be printed.
