Prevent someone on your contact list from seeing you and contacting you

In the Messenger main window, right-click the name of the person you want to block, and then click Block.

To block someone who is talking to you, click near the top of the dialog window. To see a list of blocked people, click the Tools menu, click Options, and then click the Privacy tab. Note: Blocked contacts are unaware that they have been blocked. For them, you just show up as offline. Removing a blocked person from your contact list does not delete the block.

The person you are blocking cannot contact you directly, but if someone has invited you to a conversation with someone you have blocked, you will find yourself in the same conversation as the person you are blocking.

Change or turn off the left state
