A collection of
special character input methods.
When editing a document with Word or Excel, you often encounter special symbols such as trademark symbols, humane symbols, euro symbols, and so on, and a handful of commonly used symbols can be entered in the Symbol toolbar of Word xp/2003, but most symbols are still not entered directly. Here are a few simple ways to implement the input for special characters.
First, caret
This is probably the most common method of input for special characters. Execute insert → symbol in Word, there are many special characters in the dialog box inside, find the symbol you want to insert. There is no "Insert → symbol" command in Excel, you can use Word to insert the symbol you want, and then through copy, paste to Excel, this method is slow, but you can enter many very special characters.
II, auto replace
First, open the menu tools → AutoCorrect, and on the AutoCorrect tab, select Automatically replace as you type. Here are some of your own AutoCorrect entries, which can be added by replace and replace with, and then you can use them. For example, to enter Intel, you can enter "(R)" (without quotes) in the English state immediately after entering Intel. Another example: To enter the windows& #8482, lg©, the same type of English state of "(tm)", "(c)" can be. Note Two: The prerequisite for implementing this AutoCorrect is to add it to the auto replacement list first, and if you don't want to do AutoCorrect, click the Backspace key.
Third, special font method
Select the "Wingdings" font in the font, and then type the letters on the keyboard, all of which appear to be special symbols. If you want to know exactly what symbols are in the font, you can open the character map for one of the system tools in the Windows attachment, select Wingdings in the Font bar, and then display the corresponding character for that font. In addition to the "Wingdings" font, there are "webdings", "WINGDINGS2" and so are also symbol fonts.
Four, soft keyboard method
The "soft keyboard" in the Chinese input method also makes it easy to enter common symbols. If you enter the Chinese lowercase number "0": Open Chinese Input method, with the right mouse click on the "soft keyboard" logo, select "Unit symbol", open the soft keyboard, press the Q key on the keyboard or click on the mouse "soft keyboard" on the Q key, Chinese lowercase "0" is entered. You can also enter other kinds of symbols through the software disk.
Five, Alt plus number key method
You can also enter special characters by combining the "a1t" key with the numeric key on the keypad. For example: Enter the euro symbol € you can press the "ALT" key, and then type 128 on the keypad on the four digits, and release the "A1T" key, the euro sign is not there. The following table is a number of commonly used symbols.
Six, shortcut keys
This method is quick, press CTRL, A1T, T to enter "& #8482;" and press CTRL, A1T, and R to enter "?", and press Ctrl, A1T, C Key to enter "©"
Seven, using the Character Map
To open the character Map in one of the system tools, after font is selected, all characters of that font are displayed, including many special symbols, select the symbol you want, click the Select button, The symbol appears in copy characters, and you click the Copy button to copy the symbol into the Clipboard and paste it in the document.
Eight, use specialized software
Use the software "special character input", the software is very simple, easy to enter special characters (such as figure), as long as the software selected the required characters, the software will automatically copy the characters into the system "clipboard", When you need to insert a character entered prompt use the "paste" (Ctrl + V) command.
