Routing settings are a very important step in practical application. The following describes how to set the wireless routing of China Netcom using China Netcom as an example. I hope you can help. If your Internet access method is PPPoE dial-up, that is, your network service provider, China Telecom or China Netcom, provides you with a set of user names and passwords, and requires PPPoE broadband connection) dial-up Internet access, follow these steps:
1. Connect the network cable derived from the cat to the WAN port of the router. The computer uses the network cable to connect to Port 1-4 of the LAN of the router.
2. Check the indicator light. When the vro is running normally, the power indicator light PWR is always on, the system indicator light SYS is flashing, And the WAN port and the lanport are always on or flashing.
If SYS is always on or off, it indicates that the router is faulty. If the LAN or WAN indicator is not on, check whether the physical connection is properly connected. For example, the network cable is not connected or the network cable has poor contact with the interface; if the connection is normal but the indicator light is not on, the network cable may be faulty. We recommend that you change the network cable.
Procedure
Enter the IP address of the router LAN port in the browser, enter the correct management user name and password of the router in the pop-up box, and then enter the management page. If the vro is set by default, its management address is 192.168.1.1. the username and password are: admin. In the left box, select "Network Parameters"> "WAN Port Settings ", select "PPPoE" for "WAN port connection type" in the right border ". Enter the user name and password of the broadband account in "Internet account" and "Internet password. After you enter the internet password and save it, the password length in the password box may not match the actual number of digits you enter. This is the built-in password protection mechanism of the vro, as long as you confirm that the entered password is correct, the vro has saved the China Netcom wireless route settings.
Connection Mode Selection
We recommend that you select "On-Demand connection". When data is accessed, the router will automatically dial up the connection. If no data exists, the network will be automatically disconnected within the specified time.
"Automatic Connection" is recommended for monthly subscription users. The vro will be automatically reconnected after power-on or power-off.
"Manual connection" means to manually click the connection to dial up, And the router will not automatically dial up.
After configuring the China Netcom wireless route, click "save"
3. For dial-up connections or disconnections, click the "running status" column in the left sidebar of the management interface, and click the "connection/disconnection" button in the "WAN port status" in the right pane. After dialing the number, you can view the IP address and DNS address obtained by the router in "WAN port status". If no DNS server address is set on the computer, enter the DNS server address displayed on the WAN port to your computer.
4. Now, the PPPoE dial-up is complete and the dial-up is successful. The computer under the vro can access the Internet through the vro. In step 2, China Telecom chose the normal dial-up mode, while China Netcom chose the special dial-up mode. China Netcom's wireless route settings are equivalent to wired.
