I don't know why. My Ubuntu startup is slow, and there is a black screen at startup, which is not a real black screen. I have read many articles on the Internet, but none of them can explain the reasons and specific practices. Now, based on my specific situation, let's take a look:
My notebook is mainly configured (very old ):
Graphics: Intel Corporation 82852/855 GM integrated Graphics Device
1024 × 768
From/etc/X11/Xorg. conf
View/ECT/usplash. conf now
Sudo VI/ECT/usplash. conf
Found
X res = 1280
Yres = 1024
It's strange how big it is. Far more than my display resolution 1024x768
Therefore, it is changed
X res = 1024
Yres = 768
Then
Update uspalsh
Sudo Update-initramfs-u-k 'uname-R'
Reconfigure the video card
Sudo dpkg-reconfigure xserver-Xorg
Modify grub. Can you do this? It has been successfully modified.
/Boot/GRUB/menu. lst
In
Kernel/boot/vmlinuz-2.6.22-14-generic root = UUID = 51b6bacc-78ac-427d-86d5-6082124602ef Ro quiet splash
You can change the splash to nosplash or retain it. If it is retained, the default splash. ^ _ ^ is displayed.
I understand the true meaning of splash here
Note: The popular solution on the Internet is to change the splash in the above line to nosplash, which is not applicable to me here. I don't know why!
