1. I am very excited by my internship at Baidu during the summer vacation with a tight pace and a good technical atmosphere. However, after working for a while, I found that I was always unable to do anything. I had to stay at the company until late at night. My girlfriend often complained that she would not call her. I thought she didn't understand herself. Why didn't she know how considerate she was when she worked so seriously.


2. looking for a job in the recent period, when I received several offers to make decisions, I thought about what I was like three years later, five years later, and ten years later, and how I could make my work more successful.


3. When my graduation is approaching, the student age will end up, and I will not miss my feelings, but reflection and summary. What are the most precious things of this age?

Today, I will share my thoughts on habits. It is mainly about time management, because we found that our time was always not well managed and there was always a delay in doing things. Although I have long realized this shortcoming, I have always abandoned it by halfway.

This is a real change!


Time management has gone through four phases:

I. Release Work

Pleasant work: After coming in the morning, work out what needs to be done on this day and start to work step by step. After one thing is done, let's do another thing, and remember when to do it.


However, during my internship at Baidu, there is always something I can't do. I have to work late at night. After recording your own time in a day, you can find that you are busy in a day and spend less time at work. However, you may feel very busy, tired, and inefficient in a day, there is a strong sense of frustration. Later, I slowly reflected on it and finally realized that working overtime is actually a habit. The main reason for working overtime is not that you are too busy, but that you are used to spreading the day's work time to the evening, so there is no heavy sense of urgency during the day, it takes a long time to work in the day. You can work overtime during the day. Therefore, you need to work overtime at night to complete the day's work.


After recognizing this point, I seriously reflected on it and found a lot of data about time management. One of them, the tomato work method, thought it was quite reliable and absorbed its essence, based on your actual situation, a segmented working method is provided.


Ii. segmented work

The essence of the segmented working method is that human energy is limited. After a job, you need to take a rest to supplement it. To be able to work efficiently, you need to focus on what you are currently doing.


You have planned to perform the following step-by-step work: work for 30 minutes, and rest for 5-10 minutes.


For me, the best thing to rest is sleep, so when I rest, I usually close my eyes or meditate. The segmented work is greatly improved than the first one. Because the energy is planned, there is good energy in each time period, so it is more efficient to work.


Iii. Target mechanism and flexible work segment

After a period of practice, I found that the 30-minute period was too strict. When I was inspired, the alarm clock went off and interrupted my thoughts.


Later, I thought of the length of time required to do things in each time period to divide the time: that is, when setting each segment, first set the target to be completed in this time period, then follow this goal to do things until the things are finished, so that a time period will end.


In the past 30 minutes, the goal was to accomplish this period of time, but now the goal is to do things. In this way, the motivation for doing things has also been set up, and the segmented work is more continuous.


During the implementation of the above scheme, because each segment has a goal, after executing a period of time, I thought that I had achieved another goal, which brought great psychological satisfaction.


Iv. Rewards and Punishments Mechanism

I thought the above mechanism should be perfect. However, after some time of practice, I found that there are still write vulnerabilities. Sometimes, although I set the goal, I think it is impossible to complete it? Psychologically, it is hard to get it back once you are in the entertainment status.


Carefully analyzed:

1. People are emotional animals, and some things can never be sustained by passion and consciousness. Therefore, we still need to test the rewards and punishments system.

2. Entertainment time is too easy to get, so I don't cherish it very much. Even if I am entertaining, I am not relaxed.


Therefore, we have set up a reward and punishment system. If we fulfill our goals, we will reward ourselves. If we fail, we will punish ourselves. Currently, rewards and punishments are based on your own entertainment time. Entertainment time is the time you spend chatting with QQ and watching video news.


I made the following table myself.


There are two types of icons, plus points and entertainment projects.


The so-called extra points are the items that record the day that can add points to your performance.

1. The set work segment has completed more than 80%.

2. Completed a habit seriously

3. finished one thing

4. Other projects that you think can be added.


Entertainment time is obtained based on the above bonus points. You can earn entertainment time only when you finish your set goals.

1. When the completion progress of two work segments exceeds 80%, you can get one entertainment segment

2. All things that you think can be encouraged for you can increase your entertainment time.


If there is a reward mechanism, there will naturally be a punishment mechanism. If you fail to set a goal, you will have to deduct your entertainment time. So we need to reduce the number of items:

1. If the SET Plan or task is not completed due to subjective reasons, you need to deduct one entertainment segment.

2. If no more than 80% of the two work segments are completed, one entertainment item will be deducted.


V. Practical Experience

I have been practicing the plan for two months from the very beginning.

Simple Principle


In many cases, habits cannot be cultivated because they are too old and cannot be implemented. People always like simple operations, which is one of the reasons why 360 is emerging.


I wrote a habit:


"30 minutes is a natural period, and only focus on one thing within 30 minutes to maintain high efficiency. Remember to complete the main tasks before you are distracted ."


Practice this article as a habit, but it is found that this habit is never completed during execution, because there are too many things in it.


Then seven habits were removed:
1. Focus

Focus your attention on what you are currently doing.

2. rest safely

Rub your ears before going to bed at night, meditate, exclude distractions, and go to bed safely


3. Flexible segmentation target mechanism:

30 minutes for a basic work segment, set the target, 5-10 minutes for a nap


4. Time reminder

Always remind yourself to keep your attention, control your thinking, and remind yourself not to make mistakes


5. focus on one thing at a time:

When you are distracted, write down and wait until the main tasks are completed.


6. fast operation

The pace of doing things is fast and fast. You can use a keyboard and a mouse.

Greedy


Don't be greedy. Don't set so many goals to accomplish at a time. Otherwise, you will feel frustrated because the task cannot be completed, thus losing the courage and motivation to continue to struggle.
