About Active Directory replication and site analysis

Microsoft's Active Directory is no stranger, the Active Directory is divided into two kinds of structure: logical structure and physical structure. The logical structure of the Active Directory refers to domain, and the physical structure refers to the site. Everyone may have a better understanding of the domain, but the concept of the site may be more unfamiliar. Today we are going to talk about the site.

Site, is a high-speed link network (my own summary, the official definition is not the case, in other words, when the network is a slow link, we should look at different sites (according to the default settings in Group Policy, the link below 500kb is considered a slow link, the actual environment should be higher).

By default, all DCs in the forest are in the same site (this site name defaults to default first site name and can be renamed)

When different domains in our forest are in different areas, and links between regions are slow links, you should create multiple sites. Here I rename the default site and create a new site.
