Access 2007 Datasheet Actions

ACCESS2007 data table operations include adding records, deleting records, modifying records, finding data, sorting data, and filtering data, all of which are basic operations in a database view.

I. Add a new record

There are 3 ways to add new records:

Position the cursor directly on the last line of the table.

Click the "Add New Record" button on the rightmost side of the record indicator.

On the Data tab, in the Records group, click the New Record button.

Ii. Change of record

In Datasheet view, you can change the data at the cursor by moving the cursor to the data you want to modify.

When you position the cursor in a field cell, the anti-White appears.

If you modify only one character, then do not enter the field value directly because the field values are all deleted. You can press the F2 key, or click the cell again, and then fade away, then position the cursor in the field where it was modified, and then change it again.

Find and replace field data

When manipulating a datasheet, if there is a lot of data in the datasheet, to quickly find a data, use the lookup functionality provided by Access2007.

1. Find field data

You can quickly find the data you need by using the Find dialog box provided by Access2007.

Example 1 in the "Student" table of the "Teaching management" database, look for students whose name is "Yang Yi", and follow these steps:

(1) Open the "Teaching management" database and open the students table.

(2) Click the Name field column, and on the Data tab, in the Edit group, click the button.

(3) as shown in Figure 1, open the Find and Replace dialog box, in the Find what Drop-down list box, display the first student's name, modify it to "Yang Yi", leave the other settings by default, and then click the Find Next button.

(4) The result of the lookup is shown in reverse-white, as shown in Figure 2.

In the Find and Replace dialog box, the Look in Drop-down list box is used to determine which field to look up data in, and it is best to position the cursor on the field column that you are looking for to save time. Match Drop-down list box to determine how to match, including the entire field, any part of the field, and field start

。 The Search Drop-down list box determines how you search, including up, down, and all three ways. Usually the latter two settings remain by default.

You can also use wildcard characters in your search.
