A Router is a network device used to connect multiple networks or CIDR blocks. These networks can be networks that use different protocols and architectures (such as the Internet and LAN), or networks of different network segments (such as networks of different departments in a large Internet ), when data is transmitted from one department network to another department network, you can use a router. Nowadays, more and more local networks are using vro broadband sharing.

When connecting different networks or CIDR blocks, A vro can translate the data information between these networks and then translate the data into data that can be read by both parties, in this way, interconnection between different networks or CIDR blocks can be achieved. It also provides the ability to determine network addresses and select paths, as well as filter and separate network information flows. At present, routers have become hubs connecting backbone networks, backbone networks, and the backbone networks and the Internet.
NAT: Network Address Translation (Network Address Translation). The router can use the NAT Function to convert the IP addresses inside the LAN to valid IP addresses for Internet access. For example, a computer with an IP address 192.168.0.1 can communicate with other computers in the LAN, then, you need to use the NAT Function to convert 192.168.0.1 to a valid Wan IP address, such as 210.113.25.100.
DHCP: The full name is Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol). Through the DHCP function, the router can dynamically specify IP addresses for hosts in the network, without the need for each user to set static IP addresses, and distribute TCP/IP configuration parameters to valid network clients in the LAN.
DDNS: The full Name of Dynamic Domain Name Server (Dynamic Domain Name resolution system), usually known as "Dynamic DNS", because for ordinary broadband Internet access, use Dynamic IP addresses provided by the ISP (network service provider. If an Internet user needs to access a server created in the LAN, you can use the DDNS function of the router to resolve the dynamic IP address to a fixed domain name, such as www.cpcw.com, in this way, Internet users can access the Intranet server through the fixed domain name.
PPPoE: PPP over Ethernet (Point-to-Point Protocol over Ethernet). Through PPPoE technology, users of broadband Modem (such as ADSL Modem) can obtain personal authentication access from the broadband network, you can create a virtual dial-up connection for each user to connect to the Internet at high speed. The vro can enable automatic dial-up connection of PPPoE so that users connected to the vro can automatically connect to the Internet.
ICMP: Internet Control Message Protocol (Internet Control Message Protocol), which is a sub-Protocol in the TCP/IP Protocol set and is mainly used to transmit Control information between the host and the router, including reporting errors, switch restriction control, and status information.
