In Windows + miktex, the most convenient way to add Chinese fonts is to use the hooklee xgbkfonts tool (http://www.hooklee.com/tex.html); in Linux, Wang Yin improved gbkfonts (http://learn.tsinghua.edu.cn/homepage/2001315450/programs.html) it may be the best choice. I used xgbkfonts to easily add the simplified Simplified Chinese Simplified English simplified.
Currently, adding English fonts does not seem to be such a convenient tool. We have to step by step.
