Add MIME mappings to IIS Express

Source: Internet
Author: User

IIS Express does not provide a graphical interface to configure MIME types, but it provides command-line tools for configuring MIME types.

Add the MIME mapping in IIS Express. The operation is as follows :

  1. Enter IIS Express installation directory under DOS window, default is "C:\Program Files\IIS Express", cmd command line CD to this directory;
  2. Execute command under IIS Express installation directory: Appcmd set config/section:staticcontent/+[fileextension= '. JSON', mimetype= ' Application/json']

Tips: Variable fileextension string is a file extension, variable MimeType string is a file type description, such as the command I executed is: Appcmd set config/section:staticcontent/+[ Fileextension= '. plist ', mimetype= ' application/xml ']
