Adding multimedia to the FrontPage2000 learning

The video files that support direct insertion in FrontPage 2000 include video files in AVI, ASF, RAM, and RA formats.

Open the Video File dialog box in FrontPage 2000 by opening the Web page where you want to insert the video file, and after you determine where you want the video file to be inserted, open the Insert menu, select Picture, and then select the video File command from the subordinate menu. When you enter the path and the name of the video file you want to insert in the dialog box, click the OK button. After you insert the video, an icon appears in the Web page to indicate that you have inserted the video file and that you can see the inserted video animation when you preview it.

FrontPage 2000 supports sound files in a variety of formats, including MIDI, WAV, AIFF, and AU, among other sound formats. Consider the browser-supported issues, and use MIDI, WAV, and AU-formatted sound files as much as possible in your actual use.

1, add the sound in the hyperlink

Select the text you want to create a hyperlink, click the right mouse button, select "HYPERLINK" In the pop-up menu, enter the URL of the sound file in the text box after the URL in the pop-up dialog box, and then click OK.

Once the page is published, the sound player will start playing the sound file as soon as the link is clicked.

2. Add background music to the Web page

First open the Web page you want to join the background music, right-click anywhere in the page, select Page Properties on the shortcut menu, click the General tab in the Page Properties dialog box, enter the address of the sound file in the text box after position, or click the "Browse" button directly, Select a sound file in the list, and if you want to set the number of loops for the sound, remove the tick before the loop and enter the number of loops. After you set these up, click OK to complete the addition of the background music to the page. Insert SWF File

Then click on the "Custom" button, pop-up dialog box, in the list of the "Shockwave Flash Object" control.

Click the OK button and select Shockwave Flash Object in the Insert ActiveX Control window, where the OK button is highlighted and the OK button is clicked. Double-click the white rectangular area that appears in the page, pop-up the ActiveX Control Properties dialog box, enter the link address of the Flash animation file to insert in the text box after the Movie URL, and select the Flash animation quality in the Drop-down list after Quality. There are altogether 5 options to choose from, and after "Scale" Select the Zoom, we select "ShowAll full display." In the Drop-down List after window mode, select window normal display mode. For other options, when you are done, click OK. After you return to the Web page, you can see the animation.
