For some systems, different systems and versions will directly affect the configuration of some settings. Here we will mainly explain the ADSL connection settings on Mac OS. We recommend that you install third-party software to provide PPPoE virtual dial-up functions, such as Enter NET 300 Apple edition and MacPOET. For specific settings, see related software description. Note that the TCP/IP settings in the control panel are different from those created by the application software.
How to set the ADSL connection on Mac OS X 10.2
① Click the blue Apple icon in the upper left corner of the page. Choose system preset> network> new location> Create a new location with a custom name, such as ADSL.
② Display → built-in Ethernet
③ PPPoE → select connect to use PPPoE → enter the account name and password, select the storage password, and select to display the PPPoE status in the menu
④ TCP/IP → PPP
⑤ Configuration complete → current application
6. Click the Ethernet icon in the upper-right corner of the screen and select a connection from the drop-down menu to start numbering.
How to set the ADSL connection for Mac OS X 10.3/10.4
